Raw grain is received by production staff and offloaded into the raw grain silos.
The raw grain is then transferred by conveyors to the roasting hopper to be roasted. The grain is roasted to ensure that it is sterilized.
Once sterilized, the grain is transferred into a grain cooler and then into the coating hopper. The mixer is used to prep the seed for coating.
The grain is then transferred from the cooler to a hopper above the seed coater.
The seed coater uses scales to measure and add the exact amount of slurry needed to coat the seed properly.
Liquid ingredients are mixed in a specific combination to create the slurry.
A sample of the coated product is taken at the end of the production line and delivered to our lab to test the quality and purity of the product.
After the coating process, product is weighed and prepped for bagging.
Standard packaging is either 50-pound bags, or the 2,000-pound super sacks. Super sacks are typically delivered on a flat bed trailer. All loads are tarped to prevent the product from getting wet.
We also provide 50-pound bags for easier handling. Typically, the bags are stacked 40 per pallet for a combined weight of 2,000-pounds.
